We have been accused of having the best coffee in Woking and certainly we drink a lot of it. We’d like to think that we make the best coffee in the UK, but who will come all the way from Edinburgh just for a coffee?
Anyway, drop in and try it, if we’re slipping let us know.
Espresso, Espresso con Panna (that's with whipped cream)
Cafè Americano, everybody knows that one, just expresso with boiling water (but of course.... there's Americano's and there are Americano's)
So then, there is;
Caffè Latte ~ Espresso, steamed milk and milk foam, Flat White ~ A Latte without the milk foam
Cafe Breve ~ Espresso, half milk and half cream and milk foam.
Cappuccino ~ Espresso, steamed milk, and milk foam.
Caffè Corretto Espresso "modified" with a slug of liquor, brandy or grappa perhaps just to get one fired up in the morning.
Cafè Lungo - a drop of water to take the edge off and and then in contrast;
Caffè Ristretto ~ Espresso with a litle less water in it.
Caffè Doppio ~ A double Espresso, chocolate syrup, steamed milk and whipped cream and Caffè con Schiuma Cappuccino with froth or “senza schiuma” without froth.
Caffè Macchiato ( in the picture above ) is quite simply an espresso with some foamed milk. A double Cafè Macchiato is more than twice as good as a single. It’s a longer drink, it allows you to savour the richness of the coffee tempered with the milk that just takes that edge off and then you can go back and just savour it some more.
Espresso Martini ~ This is the ”Caffè” page and though it does have a single shot of freshly brewed espresso coffee, to learn how to make your Espresso Martini served in martini glasses chilled in the freezer for 20 minutes you need to go to the Bibliography page.
